Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is the place where i study.NMIMS is one of the reputed institutes for MBA in India.It is in mumbai.The admissions are through NMAT.Total batch strenght is about 240 students from all over ind………………………..

This all can be found on many websites and forums and all.People have become puys and what not for getting info for NMIMS and other B Schools.

But now we will know what is not known by non NMers.

NMIMS is the place to be in mumbai if you are a student.If you are new in Mumbai and want to enjoy the “CROWD”  of mumbai NMIMS is next to MITHIBAI college which is full of life and hep. 

One interesting trademark of NMIMS is the outer market.The outer market boasts of The number two Vada Pav(world famous in Mumbai) stall.I personally have seen Mercs,BMWs,Bentleys and even a Hummer standing outside NMIMS just for the outer market stalls.

Not very far from NMIMS is the again world famous in Mumbai JUHU beach which is one of  THE places in Mumbai to visit.JUHU beach is always full.Enjoy golas,sevpuri and other Mumbai specialities.

And not very far again from NMIMS is the home of the idol of many Amitabh Bachchan.An NMIMS student on average passes by his house once every two days.And good news  for Girls coming to NMIMS,the girl hostel (which is awesome) is directly opposite to Amitabh’s House.So if you are lucky you can see him may be(if u r a fan).Many other filmstars can also be seen roaming about if you are lucky and if you really give a damn to them.

One more intersting place nearby NMIMS is IRLA market.One can get any thing from anywhere in the world there at cheap prices.Alfa 1,2,3..n and ASIAD(guys note this)  would be common words once you join NMIMS.

Now lets enter NMIMS.The classes are from 9 am to 2 pm.So after 2 pm you are effectively free.Free for quality work or even sleeping.Anything you want.After 2 pm the students take over NMIMS.All academic and interest cells become active.Meetings, rehearsels, decisions,ppts,excels,presentations ,CFA everything  in campus after 2 pm.No interference from management.

As far as workload is concerened NMIMS is cool.It was very manageable when we studied in first year.The cells or committees here (many actually working) have done some good projects.Finance,Marketing,IT ,Operations ,Enterpreunership any stream we got a cell for it.

Even Interest cells for budding singers,actors dancers.A professional theatre group (The fourth wall) is also there for budding SRKs and AK(Akshay or aamir).

Media keeps on visiting NMIMS campus.The AajTaks,radio FMs,ones,CNBC TV18s,so you never know when can you be on TV.

and the events like Parampara,Euphoria and Paragana would keep you entangled in your 2 years here.

So all in all When time passes by in NMIMS,we never know.

Proffs are good.We have good mixture of leneant and strict teachers but all excellent.Lots to learn from them.

Lot of good things chalo lets discuss a bad one.

The campus badly needs a facelift or may be total revamp.The campus is a bit small for a B school of such repute.The news has it that NMIMS is going for a revamp in infrastructure.Rest one two more odd things which dont matter that much.

So all those about to join NMIMS in 20 odd days,Life’s gonna rock guys!!!
